Short hair styles similar to the ones that men usually wear, are preferred by most as it is very easy to take care. If your hair is straight then there is no problem of wind messing it up or when you wash your. Applying hair gel not necessarily becomes essential because if your hair without any product looks good then applying gel will not make any great difference. Short hair style is really good and manageable. But the problem lies with those who have curly and wavy hairs. For them it may be tricky to manage their short wavy or curly hair if they are completely ignorant of how to take care of it properly.

There are other short hair styles like “bob” that too do not take much of your attention if your hair is straight but the difficulties arises if you have wavy hair. So in that case you need to straighten your hair. Although messy hair style is in the fashion today and they are most popular with the emo boys and guys but such hair styles are not for all. Another short hair styles is with “bang” but that too look goods when your hair is straight. What if you are not born with straight hair? You are still lucky to have born in an era with so many inventions that is making the impossible possible.

If you are finding difficult to manage your short and curly hair then there are so many hair straighteners for you available both offline and online shop. Besides hair straightener there are other technique that involves the use of chemicals and it is very time consuming that aims to straighten hair. But straighteners proves to be the best option over the other options as it does not involve the use of hash chemicals on your hair and escape time consuming trips to salon. You can get the shiny, glossy and pin straight hair with super quality hair straightener.

It is really overwhelming to choose the right hair straightener from among the hair straighteners from different brands. It is confusing to choose from among the ceramic, Tourmaline, or an Infrared hair straightener. If you ask me then you should go for one that produces ions when heated and hair straightener that have ceramic or tourmaline coated plates produce negative ions on heating, and that gives your hair a smooth and relaxing look. You should also ensure that your hair straightener is of right size and it will produce optimum results on your hair. For your short hair the most popular sizes are 1-1/4″ and 1-1/2 inch that is easy to handle and are more versatile. The bottom line is that you should always go for the brand that offers you less time straightening experience devoid of snagging or breaking during the process. Avoid purchasing heavy weighted hair straightener instead look for a sturdy, light-weighted, ergonomically-designed one, which is also offered at competitive price. Hair straighteners from GHD and CHI are just doing wonders on every hair they are applied on. So if you haven’t bought one for you then go and get one for you and enjoy the different hair style that you have always desired.

As most music lovers say, music is a lifestyle, regardless of the genre.  That’s particularly the reason why we see people dressed in graphic shirts with their favorite bands and artists, sporting outfits and accessories that best describe the music that they listen to.

Whether it may be reggae, rock, metal, goth, punk, hiphop, or pop, people are showing their love for such music genre through their outward appearances and behavior such as the clothes and fashion accessories they wear.

And as more people are accepting and listening to Punk music, the popularity and demand for Punk accessories are growing.  You can see famous celebrities and music personalities wearing the latest punk accessories to complete their whole outfit and to give them more edge.  But aside from the colorful and streaky hair, makeup, boots, and studded belts and cuffs, one accessory that seems to put the whole look together is the belt buckle.

Belt buckles are the latest craze in town, and you can see many people wearing different kinds of belt buckles to give their outfit a more unique and yet distinctive feel.  It not only serves the purpose of holding your belt together and keeping your pants up, it also gives you a chance to express yourself and your personality through wearing belt buckles that make a statement.

It’s also one way of standing out in a crowd.  These belt buckles are perfect to wear for clubbing, parties, for your gigs, and simply for hanging around.  Belt buckles ooze with personality, and it says a lot about the wearer.  They can be good conversational pieces too since a really good and unique one will catch the attention of most people, and you could start a conversation with it as your topic.

There are many types of Punk fashion belt buckles, and they come in various materials.  There are those emblems and icons made in silver, and there are those more elaborate ones where jewels and semi precious stones are embedded.  There are even belt buckles that make use of Swarovski crystals to form the design.

Famous Punk fashion belt buckles include logos and insignias of your favorite band, guitar buckles, drum buckles, and many more.  There are even buckles perfect for the emo punk, such as bleeding heart buckles, which can either be colored or pure platinum or silver.  These belt buckles will look really good on Punk studded belts, and will really give your whole look a more Punk appeal.

If you want to personalize or customize your buckle, you can also have it done by getting your name or nickname, or initials as the design for your buckle.  Of course, expect to be paying quite a sum for it, but it’s well worth having your very own personalized buckle as an accessory.

You can experiment and try on different buckles to try on new looks for your outfit.  Mix and match becomes very easy, since all you have to do is replace your buckle and you get an instant new look.

Gothic or goth is the title for a group of people usually recognized because its constituents wear mostly black. This group of individuals normally dress in a different manner. One example would be to put on skin tight PVC or long, ornate dresses or adding punk jewelry including wide cuff bracelets or spiked collars. Other fashionable forms of women’s gothic clothing consist of fishnet items (stockings, gloves, tops, etc.), flowing black trench coats, black band t shirt, anything with lace, silver jewelry, and large lace up or buckle boots.

Womens Goth Fashion is about living on the edge of typical society. By adorning gothic clothes, follower dont only state your own unique characteristics, but you also reject the typical principles and commonstandard views of society in general. Dressing yourself with gothic clothes or emo girls clothes sets you in a category apart for the dull norm in civilization today.

It is really tricky to describe gothic fashion totally since there are various ways someone may be dressed as a gothic. There is no solitary single item you wear. In fact, it is about you inventing a distinctive look that is you – of course with some central rules. Clothes you decide on need to display your individuality.

If youre searching for a starting point, numerous goths opt to put on clothing designed by artists. Clothing may include ragged jeans and black tee shirts including vines, splatters, stars, and skulls portraying demise, poems, or other dark creative subjects. One super place to start is to view the designs from the artists over at Rebellion Clothing Company.

An additional favorite amongst the gothic sector consists of t-shirts from underground or local rock bands.

Goths often experiment with their style. Both men’s and women’s gothic clothing can be comprised of a intermingling of subcultures including emo, punk, business, and metal along with their unique gothic style.

There are many deviations emo goth clothing and no “correct” list of accessories and apparel, it is common for white goths to try to possess pale skin and from time to time wear pale make-up. Nearly all goths wear lots of dark eye make-up, including eyeliner, and lip stick in hues of red, purple and black.

Piercings are often common in the gothic world. Tattoos are sometimes seen, although to a lesser extent. Gothic hair varies greatly in style and length, but is often dyed black, sometimes with bright colored streaks in it. Emo goths pride themselves on being distictive from mainstream fashion and nonconforming. They may view selecting clothing, accessories and hair styles as artistic and a very good manner to express themselves.

The goth subculture appears to have grown to be increasingly in style more recently mainly among the younger generation.

Generally, time divides people that are goths temporarily from {those|others that are true goths. Because of the labelling of new goths (or “babybats”) as posers by die hard goths, many emerging goths are shy about admitting they are goths at all, despite all signs pointing to it.

To sum up, you should dress as you choose to dress and make sure you have fun with it. Peer into your thoughts and do not permit anybody to change how you choose to dress or act. Have self-assurance in your style and you will be able to fit in anywhere.

Music Fashion – Blending Art

Those who aren’t into following fashion trends and wearing the latest styles can’t really understand what it’s like to watch the fluid way fashion will change as it descends down from the couture runways and into the stores and closets of regular people. While some designers claim that they take their inspiration from a certain culture, types of fabrics or from pieces of art, the truth is that most of the fashion that is popular today is taken right from the venues and stages of the music scene. Rockers and singers have always been interested in the latest fashions, and their choices are what help to form the genre of music fashion.

If you’ve never heard of music fashion before, you should know that it doesn’t necessarily mean copying the fashions of those that create the music, although in some cases this can be true. The more popular definition of music fashion can be seen in the cross over between musicians and fashion designers. Many musicians consider themselves artists in general, and many are creative in other ways that don’t involve a microphone or an instrument. If a musician is looking for a new outlet for their creative juices, then they often turn to fashion.

Once a musician achieves a particular status of popularity, they might start to notice that the styles they wear up on stage are slowly making another appearance, on the streets and in the clubs. They might decide that people are hip to the styles that they like to wear and want more, so they will often begin to design and release their own clothes. This type of fashion is more commercialized, and can be seen in the crossover moves that were made by many rappers and hip hop artists.

Another type of music fashion is a little more organic and a little rawer, as it is simply the fashions that are worn by the people that love and live a certain style of music. Heavy metal music was one of the first to inspire music fashion, with its leather, silver and over the top biker-rocker looks.

Big hair and tattoos could also be considered a type of fashion that is associated with heavy metal music. Emo music, known for its depressing lyrics and whiny sound is another genre of music that has inspired music fashion. Emo music fashion is usually characterized by tight pants, long bangs and dark eye makeup.

Trends for men or women, trends for kids and dogs etc. articles are related to fashion trends, but what about the teens. Searching for teen fashion trends and guidelines regarding teen modeling  and model pictures are difficult than any other. Teenagers fight against society, work hard to be different from others, but they also create new fashion styles.

Emotional style is the latest trend. This style is only for those who like black colors.

Colors like green, pink, red, yellow matched with black will make the teen models look really attractive. If you are in fashion style, you must have right hairdo. Female models can have zelda hairdo and male models can have jet black mop top hairdo. Models can also have bell bottom jeans, cigarette-shaped jeans with studded belt etc. For wearing top, you may choose anything you want, but should be sure about its fitting and color. Even large size jewelry will suit the young girls. EMO fashion style is perfect for the teens who wear glasses. Even glasses are of various types, you must look after it and see which suits you the best.

Hip hop have never been out of fashion. Music that speaks street language is really for the young generation. It is rather different to have a hip-hop style for teen boys and girls. Young boys usually wear loose pants and young girls wear tight outfits. Even cap is the other, which is must for these young teens. But while selecting colors, clothes you can select any color of your choice. And it is of different types, teen girls usually wear trendy caps of different color. Young boys prefer blue jeans and white-colored top while for young girls the choice is not predictable. To be trendy in this fashion world, girls should wear big earrings and boys should wear at least one ring. And talking about the purses or bags what the female models will prefer also matters. They can carry small trendy purse which suits with the color of their clothes and that makes them look really amazing. For young boys purse will not matter as they keep in pockets.

Fashion designers have come up with many trendy clothes for promotional model and young models. Dressing all black, coloring your hair black, whitening your face, to make everything look blacker is a current trend. Choosing big shoes with thick heels, going for metal details all over your clothing and accessories will make it a perfect teen model. If you wear a short or a long skirt, a close fit top or a loose one it would be ok if it is a black color. Even some teenagers like Bohemian style as fashionable. If young models wore loose light colored clothes, wraps and wooden, stone or amber accessories, they will really look like a bohemian girl or boy.

You will find endless information resources on the web about modeling and what it takes to become a professional model. Every article won’t be the same and some might give contradictory advice about what is the first thing you need to do. Some insiders for example suggest that you don’t necessarily need professional photos right from the start, but others maintain that the first thing an aspiring model needs is a professional portfolio and some comp cards.

Every year there are hundreds and thousands of US dollars spent on shoes, and boys are becoming just as excited about collecting shoes as girls. Everyone has at least one good pair of shoes, whether they are classics or new emo skate shoes.

People would change how they looked at their shoes if they only realized how God loves their beautiful feet. Indeed, if you are willing to share your faith with others, your feet are beautiful, no matter the shape, color, or size.

The way the Lord looks at our feet can be found in scripture, such as Isaiah 52:7. It reads, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings…” A second verse in Romans in the New Testament reiterates that same sentiment again, in case we weren’t paying attention the first time. Basically what it boils down to is this: if you aren’t ashamed to share your faith, you too have gorgeous feet.

So, what are the reasons that God makes reference to our feet? Why does God not discuss our hands or faces instead? There are numerous locations in the scriptures where God mentions feet. Our feet are in fact lovely, if you think about them always following God’s footsteps, using His words to know where we stand.

Taking this idea even further, some people even choose to buy Christian footwear. Just like the song “Hands and Feet” by Audio Adrenaline, Christian footwear with Biblical messages and verses printed on them acknowledge that YOUR beautiful feet are GOD’S feet. For those who are open and willing to discuss their faith and walk in the light that is the Lord, then this designer brand is for you! These shoes come in styles and sizes to suit almost any need and taste.

Footwear acknowledging Christ as your Savior isn’t necessarily what it takes to have beautiful feet, but it does spread the Good Word. Just remember how beautiful your feet are to God the next time you talk about your faith with a friend or mention going to church at the office. It doesn’t matter what people think of your feet, so don’t worry about it. “He will not let your foot be moved;” this is what Psalms 121:3 says about those who stand with the Lord.

New generations of bands and artists in the UK have crooned that the world had become an unfeeling, harsh place. These songs have been played ad infinitum in various radio stations and channels. The last few years have labeled these songs “emo,” short for the word, “emotional”. It is a slang term that has come to define music, fashion, and culture of the younger generation who have been exposed to and loved these songs.

Being emo in Italy are generally perceived to be one of two things. One, it can be seen as utterly cloying because it is essentially being over-emotional, or it can be seen as something positive. Society in general is seen as a clamping force upon emotional growth by advising children against showing how they really feel. Recently, many people have appreciated the joys of exhibiting their emotions through fashion and music.

Because of this, some parents have seen the benefit of having their children wear emo-oriented wardrobe in order to make them more open to sharing their feelings to the world. Emo fashion styles have been all the rage lately, and buying emo-oriented clothing can start children on the road towards their own style in fashion, aside from teaching them emotional freedom.

Emo fashion was mainly drawn from fashion styles of artists and their fans. These can include band logo t-shirts, and accessories like black bracelets. These designs have also been produced for children and even infants, with the market seeing onesies with a band’s logo prominently displayed on it. Emo-themed graphic outfits and t-shirts have also been a hit with the youth and young parents.

Deciding what kind of punk-styles would best suit babies and toddlers couldn’t have been more difficult. To address this, retailers have put out different clothing items in supermarkets and department stores for easier and more convenient shopping. Emo-themed clothes and accessories are also offered at a relatively lower price in order to provide young moms and dads a chance to buy high-quality emo wear without stressing their budget.

Alternative Fashion – Life Out on the Fringe

Posted by admin | Fashion | Friday 9 January 2009 7:09 pm
emo
Have you ever flipped through the popular fashion magazines and wondered where in the world these designers are getting their ideas? Everyone from celebrities to teenage kids is wearing the same tired boring styles that are handed down to them from the so-called high fashion runways. Many people are seeking fashion ideas and inspiration from designers that are more in tune with the way that they like to live their lives. If you are a firm believer that art imitates life, and are looking for fashion that echoes this sentiment, you are searching for the alternative fashion movement.

If you’ve never heard of alternative fashion before, you should know that it means a lot more than just wearing something other than what’s offered to you. Alternative fashion is a state of mind that chooses to challenge the styles of society instead of becoming a victim of them. The people who choose to design, sell and wear alternative clothes are those that feel that more than being a way to cover your body, fashion is a way to express the person that you are inside, and the person that you want to be. Sometimes alternative fashion takes its inspiration from music and sometimes it takes its inspiration from a subculture that very few people know about.

If you are just starting to learn about alternative fashion, but you’ve grown up loving punk or emo music, than you should know that you probably already engage in wearing some alternative fashion. Goth styles, emo styles, industrial and hip hop styles are all examples of alternative style that’s been influenced by a certain genre of music. While these styles are usually pretty over the top, they are almost always designed more to make a statement and to emulate the music than to be practical and comfortable. Most people that wear alternative fashion know that it can be a huge commitment to dress that way every day.

Although hip hop may be the exception to the rule, as it has become so popular that it is almost mainstream, many of the other alternative fashion styles are considered to be really out there and not accepted by society. If you’ve ever seen a group of goth kids walking around in the mall, or a bunch of punk kids out at the bar, you know that they are interested in confronting the opinions that people have about them. They don’t want you to like what they wear. They want you to see it as a statement about what they think is important in life.

The “Melancholic elegance”

Who needs those pessimistic economists when we have designers who remind us of the infamous market crash of 1929 through their long shiny crochets? When we have to go through this conservative era full of dull colored baggy dresses? Alberta Ferretti, with her glamorous yet melancholic and modest long dresses makes us travel back to the Charleston early 20s. Burberry, even though it is spring, transfers us all the way to autumn landscapes with dry leaves and earthy tones. Through a close look at the new Marc Jacobs collection, melancholy seems to dominate the new season right off the bat. While it’s spring outside, a tightened and buttoned up autumn like earth tones and silk scarves seems to be everywhere.

A stylist tip from me: The collections featured in this category, I love the large hats made of soft material, which cover half the face. Could it be a posh version of “emo” culture? Anyways, also keep an eye on those large cloth bags, which make us travel to different dimensions.

The “Trash variété”

Let’s put one thing straight. I am not blaming you if you want to make your stylistic choices based on 80’s trends from our long gone past. On the other hand, however, you should know that some of these spring collections and younger designers we saw this year could potentially make you change your mind. For example, Christophe Decarnin from Balmain brings pads back in fashion in a totally unique way. He puts them only on one shoulder as an intervention to a beautiful yet dull design. Chanel proposes another look, with a hint of nudity, using a nice skirt with rock pencil type accessories bundled with a nice “rack” (for a glam touch). Of course, Vivienne Westwood could not just stand without taking a stand in this trend with her black cloths and golden details. Sure it was risky, but oh-so very impressive. Are the 80’s back? Sure, but not in the fake businesslike meaning. This time, middle class plays a major role in making up the trend.

A stylist tip from me: If we exclude worn out jeans and a couple more minor details on dresses and tops, this trend yells out CAUTION. If you are not very sure of the result hold your horses. Keep the worn jeans, but leave out the zebra colored top. Keep pink, but stay away from the scene clothes overall. Halloween is long gone – at least for this year.

Trust me girls,

The Facts About Emo Haircuts

emo
Teens around the world are sporting emo haircuts. They are seen as an expression of individuality and personal identity. The styles are indeed very creative but it is entirely up to the observer how each emo style is interpreted.

The term ‘emo’ has been coined from the word ‘emotional’ which refers to the 1980’s punk era of ‘emotive hardcore’ music. The haircuts have evolved over time, culminating in the trendy look we know as emo haircuts today. Any haircut that is colourful and perhaps a touch ostentatious can be classed as an emo style although some emo fundamentalists may want to apply strict rules as to what can be classified as emo and what can’t.

It is quite difficult to pinpoint what exactly an emo haircut is since they come in a variety of forms. But with a little bit of careful study, it will soon be noticed that emo haircuts to share some common elements and themes. Perhaps the most obvious is the wearing of fringes or bangs. Emo fringes differ quite markedly from the ordinary types worn for a conservative appearance. Emo fringes are very often long enough to meet the wearer’s lips but are usually swept to one side perhaps obscuring one eye.

Jet black is a colour that features predominantly in emo haircuts but any other bright or bold colour can be basis of the emo look. Many emo haircuts are not just a single colour and highlights are also a very common feature. Highlights are usually in striking contrast to the basic colour, with primary colours such as red, blue and yellow being very popular.

Emo haircuts are often misinterpreted by those who do not understand emo culture. Emo boys and girls try to create haircuts that are a reflection of their own emotions or feelings. The styles often express a myriad of concepts and identities pent up within the individual but with a manifestation that might appear messy or rebellious to the onlooker. The emo haircut deliberately attempts to shun conservatism and instead tries to be non conformist, adventurous and modern.

Emo haircuts can be worn long or short and by both boys and girls. I is also a matter of personal choice whether the style is formed with styling agents like gels and sprays or whether brushing alone is enough to create the desired look. The idea of the emo haircut is individuality and the emo boy or girl will go to any length to achieve this through their haircut.
